WHAT IS A SKI WEEK?

  • What is a Ski Week

Most NAASF ski weeks have a very similar schedule.  You can verify the events, times and locations once the e-brochures are published for each week, but this is good for general planning purposes. You must be a paid-up member of the Delta Ski & Snowboard Club to be eligible for the NAASF discounts. Also, NAASF has gone to an electronic Pre-Registration process that has eliminated most of the manual paper-pushing we used to do. You can go to www.naasf.com and click on the Login button to create an account and then pre-register for the ski weeks you wish to attend.

On arrival, it is usually best to check in to your accommodations first, then head over to the on-mountain location to finish the registration process. There, you will fill out the resort’s waivers, purchase your discounted lift tickets, pay the resort registration fee and receive your NAASF credentials for the week. The credentials unlock all of the discounts on the mountain, so you should keep them with or on you all week!

International Ski Week Differences

The IASF World Airlines Ski Championship is "slightly" different, in that their race training begins on Sunday and races begin on Monday.  The WASC also includes several Nordic events (cross country skiing) and a "Fun Race" event where teams from around the world offer samples of a food/beverage typical of their country (It's really an International food/beverage tasting party on the snow).
